Home PageWelcome to the I.B. Design Technology Wiki
In this ever rapid world of ICT, keeping up with the changes is challenging! This is a collaborative resource project designed to be used by Design Technology teachers and students. The teacher and students work together researching, entering and editing each others additions. The aim is to use and develop higher order thinking skills, co-operative learning procedures and interpersonal skills in a project based learning environment. The hoped result is a resource and project wiki dedicated to Design Technology that will continue to evolve with the changing world of ICT. The best part ... we can show off what we are learning! And not only are there num...Read the full story on TreeHugger Images from artkrush Banksy, that super-productive and ubiquitous graffiti artist, is at it again. He is back from his North American tour, where he visited Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago, Detroit, and Boston, promoting his film and creating havoc wher...Read the full story on TreeHugger Photo via kasei.co.uk It turns out that a surprisingly high number of grade schools in Japan are serving their students more than just a well-rounded education. According to the results of a survey released today, whale meat is back on the menu at about a sixth of Japan's public elementary and junior-high schools...Read the full story on TreeHugger BBC News - Science & EnvironmentFormer UK Prime Minster Tony Blair warns world leaders they may pay a heavy price in history if they fail to tackle global warming. Carbon-rich organic molecules, which serve as the building blocks of life, may be present on Mars after all, say scientists. Cockroach and locust brains are a rich source of antibiotics powerful enough to tackle MRSA, researchers say. A group of Danish rocket enthusiasts trying to launch a dummy 30km into the sky abort the mission when a valve on their rocket freezes up. A mix of chemicals borrowed from plants with tiny tubes of carbon can spontaneously create tiny, self-repairing solar cells.
